Let Offshore Gambling be!
As the US government makes offshore gambling inaccessible, there are many entrepreneurs who decry the ban. According to Jay Cohen, who founded the World Sports Exchange, and who served a sentence for running an offshore gambling concern, the Senate Bill is a thinly veiled attempt to stop the US government from losing tax money. Offshore gambling companies pay taxes to the countries their servers reside, not to countries where their clients play. Offshore gambling also allows American citizens to collect tax-free winnings. Cohen also feels the government is criminalizing offshore gambling concerns so it can protect its land-based casino industry.
