Offshore gambling has a savior?
When the US made it difficult for it citizens to go gambling online, offshore gambling concerns had fighters in their corner. The Caribbean island economy of Antigua and Barbuda and the World Trade Organization (WTO); Antigua and Barbuda, home to many lucrative offshore gambling outfits brought a case before the World Trade Organization charging the US with damaging its economy. Antigua and Barbuda, according to their attorney, lost close on to $90 million in offshore gambling income, and a further 4000 jobs. According to the US, Antigua lost the revenue because it imposed a hefty tax on offshore gambling operators.
